Ecma International Technical Committee TC32 Standards: Interoperability Between H.323 and QSIG

Work has taken place in Ecma International Technical Committee TC32 on interoperability between H.323 and QSIG, the internationally standardised signalling system for use in circuit-switched enterprise networks. This work is of importance for the evolution of existing enterprise networks towards voice and multi-media over IP. The following standards, available for free download from the Ecma web site, address both interworking between H.323 and QSIG and the tunnelling of QSIG over H.323:

  • ECMA-332 -- Corporate Telecommunication Networks - Signalling Interworking between QSIG and H.323 - Basic Services.
  • ECMA-307 -- Corporate Telecommunication Networks - Signalling Interworking between QSIG and H.323 - Generic Functional Protocol for the Support of Supplementary Services (ISO/IEC 21409).
  • ECMA-308 -- Corporate Telecommunication Networks - Signalling Interworking between QSIG and H.323 - Call Transfer Supplementary Services (ISO/IEC 21410).
  • ECMA-309 -- Corporate Telecommunication Networks - Signalling Interworking between QSIG and H.323 - Call Diverson Supplementary Services (ISO/IEC 21411).
  • ECMA-326 -- Corporate Telecommunication Networks - Signalling Interworking between QSIG and H.323 - Call Completion Supplementary Services.
  • ECMA-333 -- Private Integrated Services Network (PISN) - Mapping Functions for the Tunnelling of QSIG through H.323 Networks.
